QUALIFICATIONS

 

Completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public health, behavioral health, business,

leadership or management AND at least five years of experience in healthcare service delivery setting and managing

professional level staff OR ten years related healthcare professional experience, two years of which managing professional

level staff.

 

Skills in behavioral health management to include: leadership, team building, knowledge experience in monitoring, unit

budgets, contract expectation.  Compliance and performance management experience.  Supervision of staff, training/teaching

decision making and delegation.  Knowledge of Aspire and Calhoun Behavioral Health Outpatient and Touchstone

Residential Recovery Program unit policies, procedures, and protocols.  Knowledge of operations of regulatory agencies. 

Knowledge of HIPPA and confidentiality laws.  Ability to assess, plan, and provide solution focused action plans for

Calhoun/Touchstone unit needs as well as problematic issues and track resolutions. 

Work with managers to assess staff workforce, competencies and training needed. Knowledge of federal and state guidelines

governing programs.  Knowledge of community programs.  Skill to serve as a preceptor to peers.  Ability to develop and

implement policies and procedures.  Ability to review and maintain budget and assist in preparation of budgets and/or

grants. Ability to prepare reports and comply with state guidelines.  Ability to do provide direct care if applicable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Master’s degree in Public Health, Behavioral Health, Business, Leadership or Management with above skill set.

Duties Include:

 

Provide leadership in maintaining a solution focused, recovery-oriented environment to ensure high quality of care,

and safety and security of participants/ staff.   

 

 
 

Provide managerial oversight and direction to BHCC managers in daily operations that meet agency, DBHDD

contract and regulatory expectations.  Assess, plan, and provide solution focused action plans for

Calhoun/Touchstone needs as well as problematic issues and track resolutions. 

 

Monitor Calhoun/Touchstone compliance and provide weekly reports to Leadership regarding CAPS

and performance improvement goals.

 

Monitor and maintain Calhoun/Touchstone budget; identify challenges and provide solutions to Leadership/CEO.   

 

 

 

 
 

Work with managers to ensure staff workforce meets staffing ratios and competencies.

 

Provide oversight as needed in developing and implementing policies and procedures. 

 

 
 

Assist with grant writing proposals, staff appreciation, advocacy and stakeholder functions as well as PR/

 Work with Touchstone managers to ensure that contract expectations and deliverable for Touchstone are maintained:

 

  1.  Ensure that contract expectations and deliverable for BHCC are maintained:
    1.  85% filled bed rate
    2. denials meet the exclusionary criteria,
    3.  discharged individuals are provided with ….
    4. monitor staffing  ratios are met.

 

  1. Maintain a staff turnover rate of less than 25% per year
  2. Maintain a minimal amount of overtime as approved by Administration
  3. Ensure the provision of a minimum of 4 hours of therapeutic treatment/intervention per day
  4. Monitor CIRs and CAPS
